1 ORDERING ONLINE
You can order online at www.medicalshop.co.uk
Medical Shop uses the ePDQ credit card payment transaction services provided by Barclaycard. Your payments will be taken in a secure environment protected by ePDQs security.
2 PAYMENT
Payment for orders can be taken on Credit and Debit Cards. We accept Visa Debit, Delta, Switch, Maestro and Mastercard. Cheques and Postal orders must be made payable to Medical Shop.
When filling out the Medical Shop order form which you can find online, in the catalogue or by phoning and requesting an order form please ensure the Cheque or Purchase Order Number is complete along with the Cheque amount. Download a copy of the ordering form here.
Online payments can only be accepted by Credit and Debit cards.
3 VAT PAYMENT
When ordering by telephone, fax and post the following will apply:
An asterisk (*) marked against the price of an item indicates that this product is exempt from VAT for people with diabetes. To claim VAT relief you will need to sign the VAT declaration. This declaration can be completed upon registering as a customer of Medical Shop or at anytime when ordering by simply logging into your account, completing the VAT Relief declaration and saving the document. If ordering by telephone, fax or by post a form will be sent to you with your order.
If you are purchasing an item that is marked as VAT exempt but you do not have diabetes, you will pay the price indicated as ‘inclusive of VAT’. VAT is added at the current rate.
Medical Shop can only sell products at the zero rate to people who qualify according to the statutory requirements.
When ordering online the following will apply:
To claim VAT relief online you will be required to tick two boxes.
The first box states: ‘ I declare that I have Diabetes Mellitus and that the goods being supplied are for my personal use and I claim relief from VAT under group 12 of the Zero Rated Schedule to the Value Added Tax Act of 1994’.
The second box states: ‘ I understand that there are penalties for making false declarations and if I am in any doubt as to whether I qualify for VAT relief, I should telephone the National VAT Advice Service on 0845 010 9000 or consult VAT Notice 701/17’.
If you are not VAT exempt the online shopping basket and checkout screens will add on the VAT payment at the current rate.
Medical Shop will use reasonable endeavors to despatch all orders to customers once payment for the order has been received. At Medical Shop we aim to despatch all orders within 3 working days via first class post subject to product availability. Orders placed after 2.30pm on a Friday will be processed and despatch during the following working day.

Orders placed after 2.30pm on Friday will only be processed and despatched on the following working day. This applies to online, telephone, fax and postal order.
If you wish to cancel and order you must telephone or e-mail Medical Shop to advise us of the cancellation. E-mails can be sent via the contact form or via info@medicalshop.co.uk.
You must advise Medical shop of your intention to cancel the order within 10 days of receiving the order.
Orders must be returned in a saleable condition with the original packaging and include the proof of purchase. These goods must be returned within 30 days of the cancellation notice.
Goods cannot be returned without notifying Medical Shop first.
Once your notification of cancellation has been received Medical Shop will refund your money within 30 days. If the order you return is not in a saleable condition and this is not do to any fault of the manufacturer a £20 administration fee becomes applicable.
Upon cancellation we will explain to you how to return the order to Medical Shop.

WHERE A CUSTOMER DEALS AS CONSUMER AS DEFINED IN SECTION 12(1) OF THE UNFAIR CONTRACT TERMS ACT 1977 (AS AMENDED) THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS ARE SUBJECT TO THE CONSUMERS STATUTORY RIGHTS. THE COMPANY SHALL IN NO WAY BE ENTITLED TO EXCLUDE OR LIMIT SUCH STATUTORY RIGHTS.
