Medical Shop will use reasonable endeavors to dispatch all goods to customers once receiving their order.
At Medical Shop we aim to despatch all orders within 3 working days via first class post subject to availability.
Delivery on orders over £15.00 is free.
Delivery on orders under £15.00 is £3.95.
Guaranteed next day delivery is available for £6.95 (Monday to Friday), provided the order is placed before midday. This assumes that products are in stock and available to send to the customer.
If orders are placed after 2.30pm on Friday we will process and despatch the order on Monday. This applies for; online, telephone, fax and postal orders.
If for any reason goods need to returned, please contact Medical Shop on Freephone 0800 731 6959 within 7 days. Our phone lines are open from 09:00 – 17:30 Monday – Friday.
We will explain to you how to return the goods to Medical Shop.
Returned goods should be in saleable condition in the original packaging. Goods cannot be returned without notifying Medical Shop first.
CANCELLATION POLICY
If the customer wishes to cancel an order they must telephone or e-mail Medical Shop to advise this.
If the goods have been dispatched, the customer must return the goods in original packaging and in saleable condition within seven days with proof of purchase.
PRODUCT AND PRICING
All sizes are approximate. Products are subject to availability and prices are subject to change without notice.
Errors and omissions excepted. Prices are correct at time of catalogue printing and are currently identified on the Medical Shop Website and may be subject to change.
When a product is marked available on prescription – ask your GP for a prescription and take the prescription to your local pharmacy to obtain the product. Alternatively, you can buy it from Medical Shop without a prescription. Please do not send us your prescriptions, as we are unable to process them
PAYMENT
Payment for goods can be taken on Credit and Debit Cards. We accept Visa / Debit, Delta, Switch, Maestro and Mastercard. Cheque and Postal Orders must be made payable to Medical Shop.
When filling out the Medical Shop order form either; online, fax or by post please ensure the Cheque/PO No is complete along with the Cheque amount.
Payment for goods online at www.medialshop.co.uk can not be accepted by cheque or postal order. Online payments can only be accepted by Credit and Debit cards.
VAT PAYMENT
When ordering by; telephone, fax and post the following will apply;
An asterisk * marked against a price indicates that this product is exempt from VAT for people with Diabetes Mellitus. To claim VAT relief you will need to sign the VAT declaration. If ordering by telephone, fax or by post a form will be sent with your order.
If you are purchasing an item that is marked as VAT exempt and you do not have Diabetes Mellitus, you will need to add VAT to the stated price at the rate of 17.5%.
When ordering online the following will apply;
To claim VAT relief online you will be required to tick two boxes.
The first box states; * I declare that I have Diabetes Mellitus and that the goods being supplied are for my personal use and I claim relief from VAT under group 12 of the Zero Rated Schedule to the Value Added Tax Act of 1994.
The second box states; * I understand that there are penalties for making false declarations and if I am in any doubt as to whether I qualify for VAT relief, I should telephone the National VAT Advice Service on 0845 010 9000 or consult VAT Notice 701/17.
If you are not VAT exempt the online shopping basket and checkout screens will add on the VAT payment for you to process your order.
The zero rating of goods and services for disabled people depends in part upon the status of the individual. Medical Shop can only zero rate supplies to;
- Handicapped people (the person is chronically sick or disabled)
- Charities (charities will qualify for VAT relief if goods are made available by the charity to a disabled person for their personal or domestic use)
- Certain Eligible bodies (supplies purchased by certain healthcare bodies and hospitals with charitable funds may qualify to be zero rated)
ORDERING ONLINE

Medical Shop uses the ePDQ credit card payment transaction services provided by Barclaycard. Your payments will be taken in a secure environment protected by ePDQs security.
BY PHONE
You can order by calling Medical Shop free of charge on 0800 731 6959. Our order lines are open from 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. If orders are placed after 2.30pm on Friday we will process and despatch your order on Monday.

BY FAX
You can order by fax at 01993 810769 by copying the order form provided in the Medical Shop catalogue or by accessing the order from online at the Medical Shop website.
BY POST
You can order by freepost, using the ordering form provided in the catalogue. You can pay by Credit / Debit card or Cheque / Postal Order (made payable to Medical Shop).
All relevant sections of the order form will need to be completed along with a contact telephone number.
